Bratach na hÉireann scian mhór - Irish Flag Chefs Knife

12.75” chefs knife with 7.5” satin finished blade. Adorned by a laser engraved Irish harp on both sides the blade has a width of approximately 2 3/8” and is crafted of high carbon 1095 steel and hardened to 60+ HRC. The handle is made from stabilized* natural and dyed orange Curly Maple and green and white G10 liners combining to pay tribute to the Irish flag. Green and white G10 pins and green and brass mosaic pins add additional detail to this lovely chefs knife.  I put a lot of love into all of my blades but this one is especially Ó mo chroí (from my heart).

*Stabilized wood is wood that has been processed to improve its stability and durability by impregnating it with a resin or polymer. Dye is often introduced adding beautiful coloration to supplement the natural grain and patterns.

For best edge retention use with a wooden, bamboo, or plastic cutting board. (Do not use on glass, ceramic, or stone surfaces). Use a kitchen steel for daily edge maintenance. Take care of your blade and it will serve you well for life.
