Black Redwood Burl and Rainbow Pin Paring Knife
8.75” chefs knife with 4” satin finished blade. Blade width is approximately 1.5"” and is crafted of high carbon 1095 steel and hardened to 60+ HRC. The handle is made from a stabilized* Redwood Burl dyed black and has wonderful swirls of soft browns where the wood resisted the dye. Red, orange, green, and blue G10 pins add a fun pop of color. And a brass, rose, and stainless steel mosaic pin completes the detailing. The handle is framed by a white and black G10 liners.
*Stabilized wood is wood that has been processed to improve its stability and durability by impregnating it with a resin or polymer. Dye is often introduced adding beautiful coloration to supplement the natural grain and patterns
For best edge retention use with a wooden, bamboo, or plastic cutting board. (Do not use on glass, ceramic, or stone surfaces). Use a kitchen steel for daily edge maintenance. Take care of your blade and it will serve you well for life.
